Canada Is Stealing Senior's First Pension Check!

It is criminal theft in broad day light and Canadians haven't figured out this victimization of Canada's pensioners yet, because seniors are weak and vulnerable and ignored.

By defining the first pension check a senior receives, at the end of their first eligible month, as a retroactive payment, for the first eligible month, the Canadian government is criminally stealing Canadian senior’s first instalment of their monthly pension. The Canadian pensioner’s I have spoken with, about this crime, have a joke about it. “Yeah, but you get to keep the check you get for the month after you die!” It is mind numbing that Canadian politicians have allowed this go on for decades. It’s bad enough that low income seniors have to pay taxes on their pensions but to have the first month payment differed to the end of the first eligible month, is not how people live and BC welfare checks prove it.

BC welfare payments are put out for the next month in advance of the next month, for the next month’s cost of living and your first welfare check gets to you in days after applying. Canada is one of the richest countries in the entire world with only 35 million people. Why does Canada steal from pensioners? Is it because the Americans want it that way as America hates their seniors and wish they’d just die after retirement. American pension raiding is also a criminal enterprise that corrupt American politicians ignore. So, it makes sense that Canadian politicians, under NAFTA, would screw their seniors.

Just to give you an idea of a policy that transferred from the US to Canada. Democrats and Republicans both conspired to do away with rent control in the 1990s to allow the unregulated and completely unjustified radical increases, we have seen, for the cost of housing everywhere. Who did ending rent control, screw first? Seniors, that’s who! I was living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, when in 1994 a ballot initiative to end rent control in the state of Massachusetts won by a very narrow margin, having all of us that hit the streets to protest the initiative, cry foul at what we saw as ballot box manipulation. The Democratic controlled legislature did nothing about it. Rents double to take advantage of American and international students going to Harvard, Tufts, North Eastern, Boston University, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth and UMass Amhearst. There are also many smaller colleges that effected rent, in smaller towns. As a result of the unregulated rent increases, seniors were forced to move out Cambridge and for many, away from their family’s home town.

This is the level of cynicism lurking in our Canadian government. Seniors are to be considered weak and vulnerable and the fact that the Canadian government is stealing the first instalment of Canadian’s pension shows, no one is looking out after seniors, in the Canadian parliament. By deferring the first pension payment to the end of the first eligible month, Seniors are force to spend savings or simply go with out food and other essentials. I am going to proceed with a law suit to recover my first month’s pension check and damages, for the stress caused by this criminal enterprise, on the part of the Canadian government. The law suit will, no doubt become a class action law case and I will get my first month’s check and damages paid to me, by this totally fiscally unethical and criminal Canadian government.
