With Glastonbury going rogue with Kneecap today and MC Abdul’s latest masterpiece, Shouting At The Wall finally being allowed to surface on my YouTube as we are all being digitally profiled and measured for shadow banning, the corporate hold on the music business has been destroyed completely. It was already on the way out having to allow an anti corporate band like Muse to rise along with First Nations Rap and Hiphop. Selling Disney kids as if they were any where near as talented as Black artists, being deliberately ignored, narrowing Black cultural impact by manufacturing Gangsta Rap to replace liberation Rap, were the real reasons for the collapse of record sales in the US, not the new radio, the internet. The attack on Napster was a setup to narrow the availability of Artists to online music distribution, while shadow banning poignant artists, corralling the artist into what they are locked into today, corporate online digital distribution. Unless you are signed, there are almost zero avenues to the public’s ears for you. The Great Replacement theory was not a theory in the American recording industry but the ones being replaced were Brown and Black artists. Disney and Hollywood thought they could replace Micheal Jackson with Justin Timberlake.

The cult of personality artists we have today, like Beyonce, Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Miley Cyris, Justin Timberlake and all the Gangsta rappers that are not bands but individually signed recording artists who have signed deals where the recording company has complete control of the artist and their live show profits. Some of these contracts even have breast augmentation in them. These deals are referred to in the business as 360 degree deals. The last time 360 degree deals were this prevalent in the recording industry was in the 1950s and 60s when right wing corporate misogynists were having a temper tantrum like they are having now, at not having destroyed communism in WWII but this time because, even Americans have become socialists, by a whopping majority of 75%. That’s how many Americans want universal healthcare.

It was people like Ray Charles and James Brown that broke the hold of the corporation on the artist and repertoire by taking control of their live shows, tours and eventually their master tapes. The corporate come back to this was ironically driven by shifting political sands that aligned right wing corporate misogynists and grassroots Christian fundamentalists with Zionism in the entertainment business, in what can only be seen as a panic move after the 1982 invasion of Lebanon in which Ariel Sharon committed mass genocide against a Palestinian refugee camp. This is the real moment when public opinion truly began to turn against Israel, when it showed it’s true colours. The world settled on “You have the right to defend yourself” but not the right to commit genocide. This is every individual’s right all around the world. All the while the radical right is plotting to take control of the music business. First the Democrats and Republicans cancelled school music programs in Black neighbourhoods in the mid to late 1970s and then Reagan raised the drinking age to 21 in 1985 to kill live music in America. As the Black response to the cancellation of music programs was two turntables, a mixer in between and an MC.

On the back was a lengthy description of the soldiers that included “their antagonists were the enemies of peace, order and settlement: warring Indians, bandits, cattle thieves, murderous gunmen, bootleggers, trespassers, and Mexican revolutionaries.”

This is when Clear Channel was launched to cut off Black music from getting independent radio play by white owned radio stations. Clear Channel simply bought as many independent radio stations as they could and turned them into robot stations playing content from bigger Clear Channel controlled stations but because that didn’t work due Black artists still having many friends in the music business promoting rap and hip hop in places like New York and L.A. and could not be stopped, to this Clear Channel then began to take control of the venues for live performance. This could only have happened under Clinton’s media consolidation bill which allowed media monopolies to exist within a single media market.

Trump’s DEI purge is exactly the same as Reagan’s purge of Brown and Black from federal jobs. By shutting down government bureaus in Washington, DC and moving those jobs into predominantly white counties, Reagan created one of the worst poverty rates amongst racial minorities in America, in DC. I must have teared up a dozen times watching MC Abdul’s Shouting At The Wall video. This kid has rendered his talent against the genocide of his people most powerfully in this video and all of his music, against the back drop of Gaza in ruins, stinking of death but I was only allowed to know about him till today. MC Abdul is the end of Trump, the end of American and European Zionism. MC Abdul, is the future of music. The return of cultural and political poignant material back into the mainstream, by an independent artist. MC Abdul is now the model for all song writing going forward.
