Nunavut Is Fake Land Back! But I Will "Flick The Switch!"
The Canadian Supreme Court ruled First Nations do not have final say on resource extraction, only Ottawa does. Devolution can't square the hole in the deal.
"It won't happen overnight," Savikataaq said. "They don't flick a switch and we just take over responsibilities tomorrow. It will be a long, drawn out process.
"It's another step in Nunavut growing up," he added.
As reported by the CBC.
Another step in assimilation, is what he is really saying. Canada can trust us a little more now that we have degrees from the white man’s schools, is all I hear.
And why is this very muddy deal only happening in the North? When Toronto and every other city will be immediately put under sovereign control of the Tribe that has sovereignty over the land underneath the cities, when I am made Prime Minister. All political positions in all municipalities will be terminated and replaced with whatever government the Tribe in that Nation chooses.
After failing to deflect Land Back with graves, the Canadian government always knew about. That Jean Chretien always knew about. That the Protestants and Catholics that ran the schools always knew about. All pretending they were shocked to find out but created the opportunity for the government to throw money at First Nations survivors of the Residential Schools. In the hopes the cash payments would steer First Nations, with brand new pickup trucks, beer and gambling money, off of demanding Land Back but it failed.
All the Graves stories are gone, replaced by fake land back along borders drawn by the British colony, Canada and not along the borders of traditional Tribal territory. Making it convenient for the American NAFTA oligarchs to find the resources they are planning to steal from Nunavut.
NAFTA gives veto power to the US over all energy projects in Canada and the Canadian Supreme Court has ruled that First Nations do not have final say over resource extraction, while this phoney Land Back deal between Nunavut and Canada has muddy language concerting who exactly has final say on resource extraction.
The more I look at this so-called “Land transfer” deal, I don’t see any First Nations sovereignty. I see it being, strictly a resource extraction management deal with zero say for Nunavut, except where to spend Nunavut’s cut from resource extraction.
“Devolution” does not review treaties 1 threw 7 or even mention them because if those treaties were to be reviewed in Parliament and in the official record, the British colony of Canada would legally have to come to an end, based on the legal precedent in all British colonies, that brought those colonies to an end. Allowing the formation independent First Nation governments across the land, as no where in treaties I threw 7, interpreted by First Nations Chiefs at the time, gave land sovereignty to the Canadian Colonial government.
“Devolution” is white man speak for Neo-colonialism.
As PM, I will flick the switch, handing sovereign control (Final say on all that happens on and below First nation’s Territory) of all lands to First Nations at the same time I flick the switch, removing Canada from NAFTA. People will simply pay their taxes to the First Nation tribal government in the First Nation you live in.
Cheers.
