Updated! The Plot To Privatize Canada Post's Parcel/Package Business.
By keeping Postal Workers out while ordering rail and dock workers of already privatized tax payer built companies, back to work, shows Trudeau, Singh & Poilievre complicity in a criminal conspiracy.
Union Postal Workers are bad and must be punished for dragging this strike out for four weeks, over the holiday season. The Union and Postal Workers were the Grinch this year, kids, seems to be the attitude and objective of the Canadian Industrial Relations Board. The CIRB, which removed the word Labour from it’s own title. Well, the Posties just got CIRB stomped. After Canada Post put an 11% raise on the table and CUPW came back with a compromises of 19% but now, the Posties must accept a 5% raise, that is retro active to the end of the last contract. Labour relations are attacked with every word the federal government puts out these days.
Almost twenty four hours after I accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, Trudeau’s coalition government partner, of being involved in a criminal conspiracy to keep the Postal Workers out in order to privatize as much of this year’s holiday season gift giving parcel/package and ongoing delivery business as they can, Trudeau realizes the plot has been exposed and calls in the arbitrator to pretend the Union CUPW must be forced to settle. That it is the union’s fault the packages and parcels are falling into the hands of Fedex and UPS, two US corporations profiting off the same criminal conspiracy being directed at the US postal service by the US congress. I am calling for Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh to resign from office as they have been caught in a criminal conspiracy plotting to privatize Canada Post, one part at a time. I demand an independent investigation be established, to look into this criminal conspiracy, of Trudeau and Singh colluding with US corporations UPS and Fedex to steal the mail business from the public.
By keeping Canadian Postal Workers out over the Holiday season, the gift giving season, Trudeau, Singh and Poilievre have effectively privatized this year’s parcel/package business. So much so that private courier services are giving priority to parcels and packages, over the courier side of their businesses. It is as if ten year olds, really bad at math, took over labour policy in Canada. Trudeau, Singh and Poilievre are morons if they think that the private couriers could even come close handling Canada Post’s volume. Private delivery firms don’t have the trucks, nor the personnel to handle that kind volume and could not grow enough to handle Canada Post’s volume. This has been proven out in the US with UPS, and Fedex failing to build to even a fraction of the US postal service’s parcel/package volume. Considering the fact that the right wing media is predicting Canada Post’s demise, this looks like a coordinated campaign to privatize Canada Post’s parcel/package business by threatening a total collapse of Canada Post, in the eyes of the public. But keep your eyes on the privatizing of Canada Post’s entire management operations.
So, why have Trudeau, Singh and Poilievre, bent the knee to an attempt to privatize Canada Post’s parcel/package business? Because Washington has dirt on all three of Canada’s top legislators? As that is the only conclusion one can make, considering the failed attempt to turn the public against the Postal Workers in the US. Hell, US legislators even took away US Postal Worker’s right to strike and the private couriers still failed to privatize a significant portion of US Post’s parcel/package business. Sure they took a bite out of the US Post’s business but the overwhelming volume of parcels and packages still go through the US Post and Canada post, which is far more automated than the US Post’s sorting system. Both Canada Post’s and US Post’s infrastructure is massive compared to Fedex or UPS and neither of these services can deliver without trucks, the other side of their business, letter delivery.
Now, the Assembly of First Nations has chimed in, worried about the First Nations population in remote area’s, that are not serviced or barely serviced by private couriers. These remote communities are completely dependent on Canada Post for medical packages. This puts the criminal conspiracy to privatize Canada Post, in the docket for human rights violations against First Nations tribal members. Trudeau, Singh and Poilievre are clearly coordinating this criminal dismantling of Canadian citizen owned institutions. Just like Trudeau and Singh haven’t legislated to ban private health clinics, to reverse the corrupt Canadian Supreme Court’s decision to allow cash health clinics in Canada. Just like Trudeau and Singh legislated that private dental plan insurers would be allowed in Canada instead of folding dental care and dentists into the single payer healthcare system.
Keeping the Canadian Postal workers out over Holiday season, is clearly an attempt to soil the reputation of Postal Workers as the Grinch of Christmas, in further hopes of stealing their jobs by non union scabs at Fedex. Ironically, not at UPS. I literally watched a UPS driver honk support to Canadian Postal Workers on the picket line, at the commercial drive post office, here in Vancouver, because UPS is unionized.
UPS, Fedex, DHL all use the US postal service for delivering certain parcels in an effort to cut costs for their own company. If privatized couriers had to operate without leaning on the national postal services, in the current financial environment, the smaller couriers would probably be absorbed by the larger, service would suffer to the point where the National Postal Service would have to be revived.
A Christmas gift for my 6 yr old granddaughter is caught up in this, stuck at the Canadian post, I contacted the seller and told her no worries, I’ll always stand with striking workers around the world and I fully support the Canadian postal workers. She was grateful for the kind words and support.
As an American I’m fully aware of how privatization of every aspect of our lives is total bullshit. #solidarity with Canada’s striking postal workers, don’t let the bastards get you down. ✊
