Sure, some Canadian companies are doing quite well selling Canadian made products in the US but the underpinnings of the Canadian economy are being undermined by not receiving full market price for Canadian goods as Forex traders keep trading the Canadian dollar down against the US dollar for the sole purpose to increase the US dollar’s buying power in Canada, for Canadian raw resources and manufactured goods.

It atrophies America, for the US to seek profit from sleazy currency manipulations. Americans learn that they don’t have to make products of competitive quality when they can just devalue a trading partner’s currency and buy top quality from Canada for dirt cheap. Eventually, most Canadians will rebel and reject all American products, as is happening now. Target left years ago but Nordstroms and Victoria have closed their doors in Canada. Soon, Walmart will be gone as well. Canadians make great products and are 20% healthier than Americans, so we do make better products than the US and they know it.

I am sick of listening to Trump and he isn’t even president yet. Trump’s taunting Canadians with annexation isn’t met with fear or loathing, it’s met with laughter. If the US tried to annex Canada beyond what the North American Free Trade Agreement already has, we would kill Trump. If Trump tried to put 25% tariffs on Canadian products entering the US market, Trump’s wall St. backers would assassinate him. So, whatever Trump’s real target is, in these opening trade and real war threats against Canada is, there is significant resistance in every turn Trump actually makes, once in office.

Canada needs to unpeg from the US dollar, if Canada is to rise to it’s potential but creating the Canadian version of American, market scarcity economics making homelessness an institution in Canada, will have Canadians rebelling in very detrimental ways against US holdings in Canada. American businesses in Canada will be vulnerable to imminent domaine and nationalization by the Canadian government. The play out, of Trumps threats against Canada will only result in bad things happening to America as Canadian will be relieved to be rid of American economics of scarcity.
